Wedding Terms & Conditions

  • Weddings must be booked at least 90 days prior to the arrival date.
  • Vow renewals must be booked at least 14 days prior to the arrival date.
  • Vow renewals require a marriage certificate to be submitted to the Couples Wedding Office at least 14 days before the ceremony. If you are married closer to your arrival date, you may email a copy of your marriage certificate before you arrive at the resort.
  • Late wedding bookings (made 45 days or less before arrival) are subject to a $200 late document processing fee.

To confirm a sunset ceremony (5 PM) for the Tropical Bliss Package, Celestial Package, or Exclusive Island Romance Wedding Package, please call 1-800-COUPLES (1-800-268-7537) and follow the prompt for weddings. Our wedding planner will assist you with all necessary arrangements.

All prices listed are subject to change before receiving your deposit. Couples Resorts shall not be held liable for non-compliance due to unforeseen circumstances, such as acts of nature, equipment failure, or similar occurrences beyond our control. However, in the event of rescheduling or relocating your wedding due to rain or other unforeseen circumstances, we will make every effort to accommodate you.

When completing the ceremony reservation form, please ensure that the bride’s and groom’s names are entered correctly.

Once you provide the required information and credit card payment, your ceremony date and time will be immediately reserved. A confirmation email will be sent to you, and your Couples Resorts wedding planner will contact you directly.

A non-refundable $250 fee is required for all wedding and vow renewal reservations in Jamaica. Payments must be made via secure credit card transaction. Visa and MasterCard are accepted through the online calendar.

  • You have 7 days from the booking date to cancel the reservation. After that, the $250 fee becomes non-refundable.
  • Once your date and time are confirmed, please contact Couples Resorts (1-800-COUPLES) or your travel agent immediately to secure your resort reservation and travel arrangements.

Guest Policy:

  • Guests staying at Idle Awhile may attend the wedding ceremony free of charge on the day of the event.
  • If they wish to join the group during their stay, a $75 per day fee applies.
  • Ceremony pass rates apply for off-property guests.

Travel & Stay Requirements:

  • For legal weddings, you must arrive at the resort at least 3 days before your ceremony date.
  • For vow renewals, you must arrive at least 2 days before the ceremony.

Your event pre-planning begins once your ceremony date and time are confirmed. You will meet with the resort’s wedding coordinator the day after your arrival.

Decor pictured in promotional materials is available at an additional cost.

Deposit Policy for Celestial & Island Romance Weddings:

  • The Celestial Package requires a $1,000 non-refundable deposit at the time of booking.
  • The Island Romance Package requires a $2,000 non-refundable deposit at the time of booking.
  • Final payment for these packages is due 60 days before arrival.
